Born in Tigbauan Iloilo, Assistant Regional Director (ARD) Daisylyn T. Tavarro is the youngest among the five children of Francisco Toledo and Ofelia Tupas who were both public school teachers. ARD Tavarro obtained her primary education at the Tigbauan Elementary School, and was awarded as One of the Ten Outstanding Elementary School Pupils in Iloilo Province in 1974. She took her secondary education at the University of the Philippines College Iloilo and her college degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in accounting also at the University of the Philippines in the Visayas. She earned 36 units in Masters in Public Administration at the University of San Agustin. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.
ARD Tavarro started her career in the Commission on Audit in November 1983 as a State Auditing Examiner III and was assigned in the Local Government Sector (LGS) for almost 30 years. She was once the Audit Team Leader of the Provincial Accounts of the Province of Iloilo and the City of Iloilo and its 180 barangays. In 2009, she was assigned in the Land Transportation Office, Maritime Industry Authority and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board. In 2013, ARD Tavarro was promoted to State Auditor V and became the Supervising Auditor of the Province of Antique. In October 2017, she was assigned back to Iloilo as the OIC Assistant Regional Director and in October 28, 2020 she became a full pledged Director III. She was also deployed to audit United Nations agencies such as the United Nations University and the Department of Public Information in 2002-2003.
ARD Daisylyn Tavarro is married to Joselito Tavarro and is a guardian to Gerald A. Tuvida.
